Klaus Blettner is a German politician and academic who has served as the Lord Mayor of Ludwigshafen am Rhein since January 1, 2026. Before entering politics, he pursued a career in economics and business administration, holding executive roles at GEF-RIS AG and Bentley Systems. In 2011, he was appointed as a professor of business administration and marketing at the University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Society in Ludwigshafen. He was elected as a city councilor in 2024 and subsequently won the mayoral election in 2025 as a member of the Christian Democratic Union.
