Klaus Eberhardt is a German politician and the Lord Mayor of the city of Rheinfelden (Baden). Born in Düsseldorf in 1956, he studied urban and regional planning at the University of Bonn and the Technical University of Berlin. Before his election as mayor in 2012, he held various positions in municipal administration, including roles in Goslar, Osterholz-Scharmbeck, and Weil am Rhein. Since taking office, he has focused on urban development, economic promotion, and cross-border cooperation within the trinational Eurodistrict Basel. He was re-elected in 2020 with a significant majority.
