村上 貢一

Koichi Murakami is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the Iwate Prefectural Assembly. Born in Morioka in 1963, he graduated from J. F. Oberlin University before joining the family business, Murakami Rice Store, where he serves as Representative Director. He previously served three terms as a member of the Morioka City Council, including a tenure as Vice Chair. Murakami focuses on policies addressing population decline, child-rearing support, education, and regional economic revitalization through industry-academia-government collaboration.
