Takuo Komori is a Japanese politician and former bureaucrat currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives for the Liberal Democratic Party, representing the Ishikawa 1st district. A graduate of the University of Tokyo and Princeton University, he previously held senior positions in the Ministry of Finance, the Financial Services Agency, and the Ministry of Defense, and served as a department head for the Ishikawa Prefectural Government. Since entering politics, he has focused on economic revitalization, financial policy, and disaster reconstruction, notably serving as a deputy head of the government's local emergency response headquarters following the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake. He currently serves as Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Reconstruction, and Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Cabinet Office.
