Krešo Beljak is a Croatian politician who has served as a member of the Croatian Parliament since 2016 and as the president of the Croatian Peasant Party (HSS) since 2016. Previously, he served as the mayor of Samobor from 2009 to 2021. A geography professor by training, Beljak participated in the Croatian War of Independence and later transitioned into local politics. Under his leadership, the HSS has shifted toward a more liberal political stance, with Beljak advocating for abortion rights and secular policies.
