Kristen Thompson

Kristen Thompson is an American politician serving as a member of the Oklahoma Senate for the 22nd district. She assumed office on November 16, 2022, after defeating incumbent Jake A. Merrick in the Republican primary and winning the general election with 60% of the vote. Before entering politics, she earned an undergraduate degree in communication sciences and disorders from the University of Oklahoma and worked as a business owner, managing a general contracting company and a restaurant group with her husband. During her 2022 campaign, she received endorsements from Governor Kevin Stitt and support from organizations advocating for school vouchers.
