Kőszegi Krisztián

Krisztián Kőszegi is a Hungarian politician and educator of Roma origin who serves as a Member of the National Assembly and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, becoming the first Roma individual to hold the latter position. Born in Pécs in 1993, he overcame significant childhood hardship to pursue a career in education, eventually earning a degree in geography and history from the University of Pécs. Before his election to parliament in 2026, he worked as a teacher and led the Gilvánfai Tanoda, an educational center for disadvantaged youth. In his parliamentary role, he is a member of the Social Committee and has expressed a commitment to representing the Roma community beyond narrow party-political interests.
