Kwon Oh-eul is a South Korean politician serving as the Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs. Born in Andong in 1957, he graduated from Korea University and previously served as a member of the North Gyeongsang Provincial Council, a three-term member of the National Assembly representing Andong, and as Secretary General of the National Assembly. He spent much of his political career within conservative blocs including the Grand National Party and Bareun Party before joining the Democratic Party of Korea ahead of the presidential election, where he emphasizes centrist and conservative bridging policies.
