Lakhdar Rekhroukh is an Algerian engineer and politician currently serving as the Minister of Public Works and Basic Infrastructures. Born on November 13, 1958, he holds a degree in civil engineering from the National Polytechnic School of Algiers. Before entering government, he had a distinguished career at the Cosider Group, where he served as CEO for twenty years from 2002 to 2022. In recognition of his contributions to national infrastructure, he was awarded the National Order of Merit in 2021.
