Larry Pemberton

Larry Pemberton Jr. is an American politician serving as a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives for the 139th district. Elected in a special election in January 2026, he holds the distinction of being the first Native American member of the Connecticut General Assembly. A member and treasurer of the Eastern Pequot Tribal Nation, Pemberton has a professional background in community organizing, human services, hospitality, administration, and transportation. He resides in Uncasville and represents the communities of Ledyard, Montville, and Norwich.
