Laura Anne Jones

Laura Anne Jones is a Welsh politician serving as a Member of the Senedd. Born in Newport and raised in Monmouthshire, she first served as an Assembly Member from 2003 to 2007, becoming the youngest member of the Second Assembly at the time. After a period away from the Senedd, during which she served as a Monmouthshire county councillor, she returned to the legislature in 2020. Formerly a member of the Welsh Conservatives, she defected to Reform UK in July 2025. Her career has been marked by various shadow cabinet roles and investigations into her conduct and expenses, for which she was cleared of wrongdoing in 2025 but sanctioned for discriminatory language.
