Dr. Lauren Sullivan is a British Labour Party politician serving as the Member of Parliament for Gravesham since the 2024 general election. Before entering national politics, she had a career as a scientist, specializing in neglected tropical diseases at the University of Dundee and the Francis Crick Institute, and also worked as a secondary school science teacher. Her local government experience includes serving as a Borough Councillor for Gravesham and as Leader of the Opposition at Kent County Council. In May 2026, she was appointed as a Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology.
