Laurent Serge Etoundi Ngoa is a Cameroonian politician and educator currently serving as the Minister of Basic Education. Born in Etoudi in 1955, he holds a state doctorate from the Cochin Port-Royal Faculty of Medicine in France and previously worked as a professor of animal and human physiology. Before his current ministerial appointment in 2019, he served as a member of the National Assembly and held the position of Minister of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts for over a decade. He is a member of the ruling Cameroon People's Democratic Movement.
