Laurie Scott is a Canadian politician serving as a Member of Provincial Parliament for the riding of Haliburton—Kawartha Lakes—Brock. First elected in 2003, she has held various roles within the Progressive Conservative government, including Minister of Labour and Minister of Infrastructure. Before entering politics, she worked as a registered nurse. Scott is widely recognized for her advocacy work regarding victims of human sex trafficking, for which she received the BOOST Champion for Children Award in 2017.
