First elected in 2003, she has held various roles within the Progressive Conservative government, including Minister of Labour and Minister of Infrastructure. Before entering politics, she worked as a registered nurse. Scott is widely recognized for her advocacy work regarding victims of human sex trafficking, for which she received the BOOST Champion for Children Award in 2017.
