Lela Evans is a Canadian politician serving as the Member of the House of Assembly for the district of Torngat Mountains in Newfoundland and Labrador. A member of the Progressive Conservative Party, she has held several cabinet positions in the Wakeham ministry since 2025, including Minister of Health and Community Services. With a background in environmental assessment and mining, Evans is of Inuit and Norwegian descent and has been a vocal advocate for infrastructure development in northern Labrador. She publicly shared her breast cancer diagnosis in 2026.
