Leslie Mehta is an American politician serving as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates for the 73rd District, having assumed office on January 14, 2026. A lawyer by profession, she previously served as the legal director for the Virginia American Civil Liberties Union and as the interim CEO of the International Rett Syndrome Foundation. Mehta was appointed to the Commission on Racial Inequity in the Law and the Rare Disease Council. She ran as the Democratic nominee for Virginia's 1st congressional district in 2024 before winning her seat in the state legislature in 2025.
