Lew Frederick is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Oregon State Senate, representing District 22. Born in Pullman, Washington, in 1951, he has had a diverse career as a teacher, a television and radio reporter for KGW, and a public information director for Portland Public Schools. First elected to the Oregon House of Representatives in 2009, he later transitioned to the State Senate. Frederick is known for his advocacy on social justice issues, including his proposal for reparations for the descendants of enslaved people in Oregon.
