Lewis Atkinson

Lewis Atkinson is a British Labour Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Sunderland Central since 2024. Before entering national politics, he had a significant career in the National Health Service (NHS), where he worked in executive leadership and management roles after completing the Graduate Management Training scheme. Educated at Wadham College, Oxford, and the University of Birmingham, Atkinson brings a background in healthcare policy to his parliamentary work. In November 2024, he demonstrated his legislative priorities by voting in favor of the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill.
