Libia García Muñoz Ledo is a Mexican lawyer and politician currently serving as the Governor of Guanajuato, having assumed office on September 26, 2024. As the first woman to hold this position, she previously served as the state's secretary of social and human development and secretary of government. Earlier in her career, she was a two-term local deputy in the Congress of Guanajuato, where she advocated for policies such as the protection of breastfeeding and the implementation of the Olimpia Law. A member of the National Action Party since 2004, she has held various internal party roles and maintains a background in civil and commercial litigation.
