Lily Qi

Lily Qi is an American politician serving as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates for the 15th legislative district. Born in Shanghai, China, she immigrated to the United States in 1989 and later became a U.S. citizen. Before her election in 2018, she worked in economic development and served as an Assistant Chief Administrative Officer for Montgomery County. As a legislator, Qi has focused on economic stability, workforce development, and social issues, and she is the author of the 2026 memoir, Elected American: From Red China to Blue Maryland.
