Liz Berry

Liz Berry is an American politician serving as a member of the Washington House of Representatives for the 36th district, a position she has held since 2021. Born in Phoenix, Arizona, she earned a degree from American University before building a career in political advocacy and legislative work, including serving as the executive director of the Washington State Association for Justice. In the state legislature, Berry has focused on progressive policy initiatives, including the promotion of guaranteed basic income pilot programs, environmental protections such as the removal of toxic PFAS from firefighting gear, and the implementation of the Washington Recycling and Packaging Act. She has also been a vocal advocate for labor rights, supporting paid family and medical leave for gig workers, and has sponsored significant firearm safety legislation, including mandatory waiting periods for gun purchases.
