Skyler Rude

Skyler Rude is an American politician serving as a member of the Washington House of Representatives since 2019. Representing the 16th Legislative District, he is recognized as a moderate and fiscal conservative within the Republican Party and holds the distinction of being the only openly gay Republican in the Washington State House. Prior to his legislative career, he worked as a legislative assistant to Senator Maureen Walsh and served on local advisory boards in Walla Walla and College Place. His policy work has focused on legislative accountability, higher education, and remote-testimony initiatives.
