Lorne Doerkson is a Canadian politician serving as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia for the Cariboo-Chilcotin district since 2020. Initially elected as a member of the BC Liberal Party, which later rebranded as BC United, he crossed the floor to the Conservative Party of British Columbia in 2024. Before entering provincial politics, Doerkson spent two decades in the newspaper publishing industry and worked as a financial consultant. He currently serves as the assistant deputy speaker for the BC Conservatives and advocates for rural healthcare reform, improved forest management, and infrastructure investment.
