Lucas Bolsius

Lucas Bolsius is a Dutch politician and historian who has served as the Mayor of Amersfoort since 2010. A member of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA), he previously held positions as an alderman and municipal council member in Rotterdam, as well as a member of the Provincial States of South Holland. Before his full-time political career, he worked in various roles including as a journalist, press officer for NOVIB, and humanitarian aid worker in Rwanda. Bolsius holds a degree in social history from Erasmus University Rotterdam and is known for his interest in historical processes and administrative governance.
