Lukas Schnitzer

Lukas Schnitzer is an Austrian politician and a member of the Landtag of Styria, representing the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). Born in 1988 in Hartberg, he began his political career in the youth wing of the ÖVP, eventually serving as the state chairman of the Young ÖVP (JVP) in Styria. He was first elected to the Styrian Landtag in 2015, becoming the youngest member of the ÖVP parliamentary group at the time. In addition to his legislative duties, he has served as a deputy parliamentary group leader and holds a degree in law. Schnitzer has been active in local politics in his hometown of Hartberg since 2010 and maintains a focus on education, constitutional, and European policy issues.
