Luke Clippinger

Luke Clippinger is an American politician and lawyer serving as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing the 46th district since 2011. Currently serving as the speaker pro tempore of the House, he is recognized as a leader of the progressive wing of the Democratic Party. Throughout his legislative career, Clippinger has been a prominent advocate for LGBT rights, gun control, renewable energy, and criminal justice reform. A graduate of Earlham College and the University of Louisville, he previously worked as an assistant state's attorney and held various roles in political campaigns and government administration.
