Álvaro Carter

Álvaro Carter is a Chilean politician currently serving as a member of the Chamber of Deputies of Chile. Born in Santiago in 1980, he holds a degree in Industrial Design from the Universidad Nacional Andrés Bello. He first entered the Chamber of Deputies in 2018 after being elected in the 2017 parliamentary elections as an independent candidate affiliated with the Independent Democratic Union. Throughout his career, he has navigated various political alignments, including a period as an independent before joining the Republican Party of Chile in 2025. His legislative work has included notable votes on pension fund reforms and participation in various parliamentary committees.
