M. R. K. Panneerselvam is an Indian politician currently serving as a member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, representing the Kurinjipadi constituency. A prominent member of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party, he has been elected to the assembly five times since 1996. Throughout his career, he has held various ministerial positions, including Minister for Health and Minister for Backward Classes. In 2021, he was appointed Minister for Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare, where he notably presented the state's first separate agriculture budget. He holds a bachelor's degree in Law from The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University.
