Duraisamy Ravikumar, popularly known as D. Ravikumar, is an Indian politician, writer, and anti-caste activist currently serving as a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha representing the Viluppuram constituency. An Ambedkarite and Buddhist, he has been a prominent voice in Tamil literature and social reform, having founded the anti-caste publishing house Navayana. Previously, he served as a member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from 2006 to 2011, where he advocated for environmental policies and social welfare programs. He is widely recognized for his extensive body of literary work, including essays, poetry, and translations of international thinkers into Tamil.
