Madhav Kumar Nepal

Madhav Kumar Nepal is a Nepalese politician who currently serves as a member of the House of Representatives of Nepal. A veteran communist leader, he previously held the office of Prime Minister of Nepal from 2009 to 2011 and served as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) for 15 years. Throughout his career, he played a pivotal role in the peace process that ended the Nepalese Civil War. In 2021, he founded and became the chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) following a split from the CPN (UML).
