Mahmoud Mostafa Kamal Esmat is an Egyptian politician currently serving as the Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy. He previously held the position of Minister of Public Enterprise Sector, appointed in August 2022. Before entering government, he had a distinguished career in the private and public sectors, serving as the chairman of the Cairo Airport Company, the Airports Holding Company, and the Cairo Glass Manufacturing Company. He holds a PhD in engineering from Dalhousie University in Canada.
