Mai Mercado

Mai Mercado is a Danish politician serving as a member of the Folketing for the Conservative People's Party. First elected to the national parliament in 2011, she previously served as a municipal council member in Odense and Frederiksberg. From 2016 to 2019, she held the position of Minister for Children and Social Affairs in the Lars Løkke Rasmussen III Cabinet. Mercado holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Southern Denmark and has been a prominent figure in Danish conservative politics.
