Manuela Perteghella is an Italian-born British politician serving as the Member of Parliament for Stratford-on-Avon since 2024. She holds the distinction of being the first non-Conservative MP elected for the constituency since 1950 and its first female representative. Before entering national politics, she worked as a university lecturer, researcher, and community arts curator, and served as a district councillor. Perteghella holds a PhD in theatre and translation and has cited her personal experience with political disenfranchisement as a primary motivation for her career in public service.
