Ion-Marcel Vela

Marcel Vela is a Romanian politician who has served as Vice President of the Senate of Romania since 2023 and as Senator for Caraș-Severin since 2016. A member of the National Liberal Party, he previously served as Minister of Internal Affairs from 2019 to 2020, playing a prominent role in the country's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. His earlier career includes serving as Mayor of Caransebeș from 2004 to 2016.
