Marcelo Nilo is a Brazilian politician and civil engineer currently serving as a Member of the Chamber of Deputies representing the state of Bahia. A graduate of the Federal University of Bahia, he began his career in public service as a cabinet chief and later led the Bahia Water and Sanitation Company (EMBASA). Nilo served as a state deputy in Bahia for 28 years, notably presiding over the Legislative Assembly of Bahia for ten consecutive years. Throughout his long political career, he has held various leadership roles and served as acting governor of Bahia on four occasions.
