Maree Edwards

Maree Edwards is an Australian politician who has served as the Member for Bendigo West in the Victorian Legislative Assembly since 2010. A member of the Labor Party, she previously worked for her predecessor, Bob Cameron, before winning her seat. Edwards served as Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly starting in 2017 and was elected as the Speaker in August 2022, becoming the fourth woman to hold the position. She was re-elected to the speakership unopposed following the November 2022 state election.
