Margarita Valdéz Martínez is a Mexican politician and physician who has served as a Senator of the Republic for the state of Durango since 2018. A member of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena), she previously practiced medicine and taught at the Universidad Juárez del Estado de Durango. Throughout her career, she has been active in labor unions, including the Mexican Social Security Institute and the academic staff union of her alma mater. She was re-elected to the Senate in 2024.
