Maria Collett is an American politician serving as a member of the Pennsylvania State Senate, representing the 12th District since 2019. Born in Greece, she is the first Greek American woman to serve in the Pennsylvania State Senate. Before entering politics, Collett had a diverse career as an attorney representing abused children and as a trauma and pediatric nurse. In the Senate, she has focused on legislative priorities including PFAS contamination, nurse staffing ratios, sexual crime statutes of limitations, gender equity, and firearm regulation.
