Mariana Leitão is a Portuguese politician and business administrator who currently serves as the President of the Liberal Initiative (IL). Born in Lisbon, she holds degrees in international relations, international management, and data science. Before her political career, she worked in business administration and became a competitive bridge player. Leitão entered politics in 2019, serving as a municipal deputy in Oeiras and as the parliamentary leader of the IL in the Assembly of the Republic from 2024 to 2025. In July 2025, she became the first woman to lead the Liberal Initiative.
