Marie-Pierre Richer is a French politician currently serving as a Senator for the Cher department. She assumed office in March 2019 following the appointment of François Pillet to the Constitutional Council. Prior to her tenure in the Senate, she served as the first deputy mayor of Dun-sur-Auron and as a departmental councilor for the canton of Dun-sur-Auron. Additionally, she held the presidency of the Le Dunois community of communes from 2014 to 2018 and currently serves as the president of the SDIS 18. She has announced that she will not be a candidate in the 2026 senatorial elections.
