Marijke van Beukering

Marijke van Beukering is a Dutch politician who has served as the Mayor of Nieuwegein since 2023. Before her mayoral appointment, she was a member of the Dutch House of Representatives for the social-liberal party Democrats 66 (D66) between 2020 and 2023. Her earlier career included serving as an alderwoman in the IJsselstein municipal council and working as an independent advisor in the public sector. She is also a trained first-aid instructor and has held various leadership roles in civil society organizations.
