Born in 1983 in Novska, he holds a degree in Croatian language, literature, and history from the Zagreb Faculty of Philosophy. Before entering national politics, he worked as an elementary school teacher and served as the Deputy Mayor of Novska, Deputy Prefect of Sisak-Moslavina County, and Mayor of Novska. He previously served as the Minister of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy from 2022 until his resignation in 2026.
