Born on October 18, 1965, he is the son of former president Guido de Marco and studied at St Aloysius' College and Cambridge University, graduating in international commercial law. He has previously held government cabinet posts including Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism and Minister responsible for Environment, Tourism and Culture, and served as deputy leader for parliamentary affairs of the Nationalist Party.
