Maritza Davila is an American politician serving as a member of the New York State Assembly for the 53rd district, a position she has held since 2013. Born in Cataño, Puerto Rico, she previously served as the President of the Community School Board of Education in District 32 and founded the North Brooklyn Residents Association. Within the Assembly, she chairs the Committee on Social Services and is recognized for her advocacy on criminal justice reform, including the sponsorship of the Elder Parole Bill.
