Mark Freeman is an American politician currently serving as the 41st Mayor of Mesa, Arizona. A non-partisan candidate, he was elected to the mayoral office in 2024. Prior to his election as mayor, Freeman served on the Mesa City Council representing District 1 from 2017 to 2024, including a tenure as Vice Mayor from 2019 to 2021. Before entering politics, he spent 31 years as a firefighter with the Mesa Fire and Medical Department and is a small business owner.
