Mark Helfrich

Mark Helfrich is a German politician who has served as a member of the Bundestag for the constituency of Steinburg – Dithmarschen Süd since 2013. A member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), he has held various committee roles, including positions on the Committee on European Union Affairs and the Committee on Economic and Energy Affairs. Since 2025, he has served as the chairman of the CDU state group in Schleswig-Holstein and acts as his parliamentary group's spokesperson for energy policy. Throughout his career, Helfrich has occasionally diverged from his party's majority, notably voting in favor of same-sex marriage in 2017.
