Mark Huizenga is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Michigan Senate for the 30th district. Before his election to the state legislature, he served as the mayor of Walker, Michigan, from 2013 to 2018 and as a member of the Michigan House of Representatives. A business consultant by profession, Huizenga identifies as a free-market conservative and has been noted for his interest in renewable energy policy. In 2023, he notably became the sole Republican to join all Democrats in supporting legislation to ban conversion therapy for minors in Michigan.
