Greg Murphy is an American politician and urologist serving as the U.S. Representative for North Carolina's 3rd congressional district since 2019. Before his election to Congress, he served in the North Carolina General Assembly from 2015 to 2019, where he focused on healthcare policy, including initiatives to combat the opioid epidemic. A graduate of Davidson College and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Murphy maintained a medical practice in Greenville, North Carolina, and served as Chief of Staff at Vidant Medical Center.
