Sir Mark Richard Tami is a British politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Alyn and Deeside since 2001. A member of the Welsh Labour Party, he has held the position of Deputy Government Chief Whip in the House of Commons since 2024. Before his parliamentary career, Tami worked as the National Head of Policy for the union Amicus. Throughout his tenure, he has been a vocal advocate for cancer support services, drawing on his family's personal experience with the disease, and has successfully campaigned for reforms to the Universal Credit system regarding state pension age eligibility.
