Mark Verheijen

Mark Verheijen is a Dutch politician and administrator currently serving as the acting mayor of Wijdemeren. A member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), he has held various political roles throughout his career, including serving as an alderman in Venlo, a member of the Provincial Council of Limburg, and a member of the House of Representatives from 2012 to 2015. Beyond his political career, Verheijen has worked as a management consultant, author, and columnist. He was appointed acting mayor of Etten-Leur in 2023 before assuming his current position in Wijdemeren in 2024.
